Normally we see the world from the ground and look towards the horizon. From this angle alone, what we see is extremely diverse and varied – whether in our immediate surroundings or anywhere else in the world. If we climb hills or mountains, the landscape already changes massively. Then you gain an impressive view and new perspectives.
But the Earthview website from Google gives us a completely different view of the world. There you will find fascinating images of our earth – photographed by satellites from outer space, which orbit our globe every day. Many of these photographs resemble great works of art, although they simply depict our world.
Earth View is a collection of thousands of the most impressive landscapes found in Google Earth. These enchanted and sometimes surreal landscapes carry us from the computer screen into space. Hopefully – Google writes – this can also encourage us to care more about our fragile planet.
