Art lovers should visit the Art Salon Zurich 2024 now.

The new art fair for Zurich, Art Salon Zurich, from 23 to 27 October 2024 will embody exactly what has long characterised the city of Zurich: a unique platform for art – for everyone who is curious, committed and passionately interested, writes the organiser in its media release.

This year, over 30 galleries from five nations are taking part, presenting around 150 national and international, both emerging and established positions in modern and contemporary art. The programme will be enriched by the addition of internationally renowned galleries such as Geißler & Bentler from Bonn, who will be exhibiting works by Stephan Balkenhol, Tony Cragg and Katharina Grosse. Younger galleries such as Glaab from Bern, which is showing works by artists such as Manon, Maya Minder, Pipilotti Rist and Hulda Zwingli, are also represented. The Moos Fine Art Gallery in Herrliberg is presenting works by Michael Hirschbichler, Gerhard Richter and Alberto Venzago. The Zurich gallery Andres Thalmann will be showing a solo presentation by Barbara Ellmerer at its stand. The list of exhibitors can be found here.

The successful launch of the fair two years ago has encouraged the fair organisers Fabian Walter (Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie, Zurich) and Sven Eisenhut-Hug (founding director of photo basel) to continue the boutique format of the fair this year, before the move to a larger hall in Zurich is planned for 2025. The organisers are convinced that digital offerings alone are not enough. Direct, sensual and unadulterated contact with art and its protagonists is needed, they write. The Art Salon Zurich not only sets the tone, but also brings new art to Zurich and Switzerland with full commitment.

With the Arsalon Zurich, Walter and Eisenhut want to offer galleries and artists as well as a broad, art-interested community a platform for innovative and collectible contemporary art.
