Hortus – an ecological experiment.

The contractor Senn wants to realise the sustainable office building Hortus with her building technicians, with the architects from Herzog & de Meuron and the engineers from ZPF. With its consistently bio-based construction alone, the building in Allschwil should save almost 90 percent CO2 in the shell. Hochparterre magazine is accompanying the planning and construction process.

Swiss patron of the arts opens the LUMA cultural centre in Arles.

The LUMA Parc des Ateliers in Arles, France, is a former railway wasteland covering 11 hectares. On this site, the Tower designed by Frank Gehry and seven former factories from the industrial heritage of the XIXᵉ century interact in perfect harmony. The creative campus, realized by the Swiss art patron and collector Maja Hoffmann, offers artists new perspectives for creation, collaboration and presentation of their work to the public.
