UBS expects real estate prices to increase less sharply in 2022.

According to UBS, real estate prices should continue to rise in 2022, albeit less sharply than in 2021. The risk of a price collapse remains manageable, the bank writes in its online magazine. UBS continues to expect low mortgage rates, both for short-term money market and long-term fixed-rate mortgages.

Large differences in flat rents in Swiss cities.

In its report on the price development of rental flats in the ten largest Swiss cities, Comparis shows that rental prices for residential properties have continued to rise over the past five years. As expected, the cities of Zurich and Geneva are the frontrunners. In smaller cities, prices have stagnated or even fallen in some cases.
