photo basel is the first and only photo art fair in Switzerland and is dedicated exclusively to art photography. This year it will take place from 13 to 18 June. Similar to Art Basel at the nearby exhibition centre (from 15 to 18 June) for art in the broader sense, photo basel is the ideal place for anyone who is interested in or collects classic and contemporary photographic art.

The Pavillon Le Corbusier in Zurich is showing an exhibition on Le Corbusier’s world-famous “Modulor” proportion system until 26 November 2023. The connection between human scale and the golden section can also be experienced in the pavilion itself, which was also integrally designed with the Modulor. Le Corbusier thus left his mark on an entire era of architecture and design, with an impact that continues into modern times.

Things break all the time in our everyday lives. Instead of repairing, we often immediately buy a replacement. Growing mountains of waste, increasing CO2 emissions and a senseless exploitation of resources are the consequences. The exhibition Repair Revolution! at the Museum für Gestaltung Zurich presents the vision of a repair society until 15 October 2023 and examines the role of design on the way there.
