Spring is here, and whenever the first green tentatively appears, it’s Giardina time again. Giardina 24 heralds the arrival of spring. This year, the largest international indoor gardening experience invites you to a unique event from March 13 to 17. This year’s Giardina is all about the multifaceted design of gardens, terraces and balconies.

For 10 years, the Flowers to Arts association at the Aargauer Kunsthaus has successfully combined exceptional flower sculptures by master florists and floral designers with masterpieces from the museum’s collection. It was clear from the very first exhibition in March 2014 that this exhibition form is a crowd-puller. Flowers to Arts runs from March 5 to March 10, 2024 and features 14 new floral interpretations.

A study recently published in book form uses the city of Schlieren as an example to remind us in photographic form how quickly our cities and suburbs have grown in the past. The images in the book “Stadtwerdung im Zeitraffer” show exemplarily how the Swiss Mittelland developed between 2005 and 2020.
