When you think of Lisbon, you usually think of the picturesque old town with its winding streets and out-of-time trams, or you dream of fado and heavy wines. For friends of modern architecture, however, the city also holds some trouvailles that should not be missed during a visit to this fascinating city.

Plastic shapes our everyday life like hardly any other material: from packaging to trainers, from household appliances to furniture, from cars to architecture. With the major exhibition “Plastic. Rethinking the World”, the Vitra Design Museum is examining the history, present and future of a controversial material until 4 September 2022.
