It is always amazing to see the cultural power that often emanates from small, quite remote Alpine valleys in Switzerland. This also applies to a great extent to the 4th Art Safiental Biennale, which this year invites visitors to wander freely and experience contemporary landscape and environmental art until 23 October 2022 under the motto “Learning from the Earth”.

At last – after a long break due to the pandemic – master florists are once again interpreting paintings from the collection of the Aargauer Kunsthaus. Flowers for Art will take place for the first time in early summer from 21 to 26 June 2022. The eighth edition starts exactly on the summer solstice and heralds the beginning of summer at the Aargauer Kunsthaus.

On the occasion of his 150th birthday, the Fondation Beyeler is dedicating a comprehensive exhibition to the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) until 9 October 2022. Mondrian Evolution shows the artist’s impressive transformation from a 19th century landscape painter to one of the leading protagonists of modernism.
