From 4 to 9 March 2025, the Aargauer Kunsthaus will host ‘Flowers To Arts’ for the eleventh time, with floral interpretations of works from the collection. Experience has shown that this exhibition is not only a feast for the eyes, but is always very well booked. It is therefore worth booking tickets early. They are available now and only in advance online; there is no box office. This year’s edition of the exhibition will feature a live ikebana presentation, talks with the young talents from Mumbai and, once again, a large selection of guided tours and workshops.

Every year, the Aargauer Kunsthaus and FLOWERS TO ARTS select works of art for the exhibition, which are interpreted with flowers, leaves, grasses and branches to present them in all their splendour, with selected florists developing creations that will later touch thousands of people. Meet masterpieces – for example by the artist Leiko lkemura – from Switzerland, Ikebana art from Japan and young Indian talents from Mumbai.

About the exhibition ‘Flowers To Arts’

The ‘Flowers To Arts’ exhibition format first took place in 2014 as an interdisciplinary experiment. It has since developed into an important platform for dialogue between floristry and art. The anniversary edition in 2024 once again attracted around 18,000 visitors. It is a joint project of the FLOWERS TO ARTS association and the Aargauer Kunsthaus.

Publication “Flowers To Arts“

The exhibition has brought new appreciation to the floristry industry in Switzerland and increased attention to the Aargauer Kunsthaus for its important collection of art from Switzerland. To mark the 10th anniversary, a publication was published in 2024 that brings the floral interpretations of the collection’s works, which are only on display for six days a year, back into bloom. Several essays from the perspective of art and floristry provide an insight into the making and creation of the popular exhibition. Published by NZZ Libro, 288 pages with numerous large-format illustrations. The book can be ordered online here.
