On its online news portal, MLL Legal regularly publishes interesting articles on commercial law – often including legal aspects relating to real estate. Recently, the legal experts dealt with the question of what needs to be considered when transferring a property during one’s lifetime subject to usufruct or a right of residence.

A study by ZKB, which was recently published in the bank’s “Immobilien aktuell” magazine, shows that single-family house prices in the canton of Zurich have risen massively over the last five years. The higher the price level of the municipality, the greater the price growth, writes the ZKB. For many, the dream of owning a detached house remains out of reach.

After 144 years, the construction of the Sagrada Familia, the monumental basilica by Antonio Gaudi, finally seems to be completed in 2026 – or at least for the time being. The organization responsible for the building writes on its website:”… the beginning of the final stage of construction kicked off with the completion of the towers of the Evangelists (November 2023) and work is currently under way on the Chapel of the Assumption and the tower of Jesus Christ. The Chapel of the Assumption is expected to be finished in 2025 and the tower of Jesus Christ, in 2026.”
