Current architectural projects in China continue to amaze with visionary approaches. This time it is a planned high-rise building in Shenzhen that extends far above the usual. However, it is not the height that defines the uniqueness of the building, but its entrance area.

From the outside, it actually already looks quite finished – and there is not much more to be done structurally on the inside either. And yet the extension building by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin, located on Heimplatz, will still remain closed for quite some time.

Twice a year, in a secret meeting, the Pantone Color Institute hosts representatives from various nations’ color standards groups, do choose the upcoming Color of the Year. For 2021, they’ve selected Illuminating, a bright, bold yellow and Ultimate Gray, a strong, stable companion.
