With the current health crisis in mind, more and more people want to retreat to nature – and the demand for a modern holiday home in the great outdoors has never been higher. According to the Canadian architect Alex Josephson the global pandemic has massively increased the interest in building private retreats, he says in an article about the reimagining of modern log cabins in the online magazine luxurydefined of Christie’s International Real Estate. And he continues: “Log cabin-style homes are always of interest to clients, but these types of project are being discussed with a new sense of urgency.”
