This year’s main theme picks up on the emotional, colourful beauty of gardens, balconies and terraces and combines it with a sustainable vision for the green sector. ‘With Giardina, we set new impulses in the garden world every year – a symbiosis of innovation, tradition and the wishes of garden, terrace and balcony owners,’ explains Co-Fair Director Ajas Kulici.

From aesthetic masterpieces to ecological living spaces, Giardina 2025 shows how outdoor areas can be designed in the future: lively, sustainable and inspiring. In addition to impressive show gardens, visitors can expect practical solutions, furniture and accessories for outdoor living – in small or large spaces. In the Giardina Forum, experts will show how garden and patio owners can bring more biodiversity into their outdoor spaces: From native plantings to insect and bird habitats to sustainable irrigation. Myriam Rothenbühler and Antonia Eisenhut from Grün Stadt Zürich will shed light on urban ecology, Axel Heinrich (ZHAW) will explain the role of wild perennials in biodiversity and Prof Matthias Erb from Boum AG will present smart, water-saving irrigation solutions.

The exhibitors at Giardina 2025 will be presenting an impressive variety of garden concepts: Egli Grün AG’s ‘Here I want to stay’ project is a residential garden that combines aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. The highlight is a pool made of regional natural stone, framed by harmonious planting and cleverly designed zones for relaxation, cooking and gardening. ‘ausLeidenschaft’ brings together state-of-the-art technology and luxurious design. In the ‘Einklang’ project, Winkler Richard Naturgärten shows how natural outdoor areas can become oases of tranquillity without sacrificing aesthetics.

Gartus presents a unique concept: the process of creating a garden. From the initial planning to the construction phase to the final result, the unfinished garden provides exciting insights into the work of gardening professionals. Lutz Gärten shows how small gardens can be turned into green oases. The concept combines the elements of water, flowering green spaces and light to create residential gardens that are aesthetic, inviting and functional. Visitors will learn how to create a sophisticated, beautiful garden even in a limited space and what details make a perfect garden.

An indispensable platform for the green industry

Giardina is not only a highlight for garden lovers, but also an indispensable platform for the green sector in Switzerland. Companies, experts and interested parties have the opportunity here to network, present innovative projects and shape the future of garden design together.

‘Giardina is more than just a trade fair – it is a place of inspiration and encounters,’ emphasises Co-Fair Director Ajas Kulici. Exhibitors also benefit from direct dialogue with their target group: ‘Although exhibiting at Giardina requires a lot of planning work and extraordinary resources, direct contact with our customers is invaluable. The direct feedback helps us to refine our marketing strategies and optimise our offerings,’ adds Rinaldo Walser, COO of Fleurop-Interflora (Schweiz) AG.
