Once again this year, Hochparterre has announced the “Gold, Silber und Bronze Hasen, das Kaninchen” – and for the first time the trophy for the Audience Award at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. The “Gold Hase” in Architecture went to the architectural firm Weyell Zipse for the Guggach school complex in Zurich. In the Design category, Basel-based designer Victoria Juretko won the gold award with her research project ‘Peva Speculum’. The Lausanne landscape architects from En-dehors won the “Gold Hase” for the transformation of the sewage treatment plant in Aproz VS. The “Kaninchen”, the Senn Award for young architecture, went to Nicolas de Courten for the Pièce urbaine C housing estate in Lausanne’s Plaines-du-loup eco-neighbourhood.
For the first time in the long history of ‘Der Besten’, an audience award was presented this year. In the architecture category, the Plaines-du-Loup residential building by Costea Missonnier Architectes in Lausanne’s Écoquartier of the same name won. Fashion designer Jacqueline Loekito received the most votes in the Design category for her ‘Earthlings’ collection. The intervention ‘Schwamm drüber’ by BÖE Studio won in the landscape architecture category.
