After two years, the international interior exhibition “neue räume” will take place in September for the 12th time since 2001. Around 100 exhibitors from 10 countries will come together in the old ABB hall in Zurich Oerlikon to showcase living trends, new products and design objects. Inspiring special shows and exciting events offer additional incentives for visitors interested in design.

Current topics, inviting living environments and an inspiring supporting program: from 26 to 29 September 2024, the biennial design trade fair “neue räume”, which has become an established institution, will become a meeting place and trend platform on around 6,000 m2 in Zurich’s ABB Hall. For the twelfth time, “neue räume” will once again bring together more than 80 national and international exhibitors alongside inspiring special shows, offering an exciting program covering all aspects of interior and design over four days. This year’s exhibitors include manufacturers such as Classicon, the well-known family business Röthlisberger Kollektion, the traditional Swiss company Lehni, Fritz Hansen with two new chair models, V-ZUG and many more.

Beyond the borders of Switzerland, the design exhibition is regarded as an important presentation area and unique meeting place for the furniture scene and for interested design enthusiasts. In addition to numerous new products, the trade fair traditionally presents current and upcoming living trends, new and spectacular items in various carefully curated special shows – an inspiration for private individuals and trade visitors alike.
In addition, the fourth, updated and revised edition of the Swiss Furniture Encyclopaedia will be presented at the opening, supplemented by the publication “New Swiss Furniture”, which takes an in-depth look at the work of contemporary designers. A special exhibition will showcase the contents of this new publication.
The other special shows include the presentation of the Eileen Gray carpet collection by Classicon, the productions of two universities of applied sciences and the exhibition by Mobiglias with “Best of Graubünden Design”. The magazine “Das Ideale Heim” presents the winners of the Swiss Architecture Awards 2024. The contributions from young labels such as Isabel Bürgin and Studio Krach are also exciting. Another highlight is Tecta’s presentation of avant-garde furniture and the launch of the Tecta X bag collection in collaboration with the well-known company Bree.
