The editorial team of the WUW magazine wishes you a happy holiday season and a good start into 2022.
With our text and picture contributions in the magazine on the WüstundWüst website on a wide variety of topics “all about living”, we have tried in particular over the past year to do something about the dominant mono-topicism of other media. In view of the significance of the pandemic for all areas of life, however, we have also included contributions here and there that have dealt with the influence of Covid on our lives and coexistence today and in the future. In general, however, we would like to entertain you with our articles and show you how diverse building, planning, interior design, living, art and entertainment can be.
We hope, of course, that we have found the right mix for you most of the time and that we have been able to provide you with interesting insights. We are of course also happy to receive any form of suggestions, criticism or requests regarding content: you can reach us at info@wuw.ch,
Getting in the mood for winter
Today, however, we would like to get you in the mood for the coming winter days with a few selected winter photographs by our editor Werner Mäder. This time of year is often considered cold and inhospitable, but it can also show its most beautiful side if you are in the right place at the right time. And not only when the sun is shining, but also on cloudy days or even when it’s snowing.
For example, on the Schnebelhorn in the Zurich Oberland, where the hoarfrost in the early morning gives the trees a character all of their own.
Or around the Lützelsee lake near Hombrechtikon when it snows.
Or – find out for yourself where this snow picture was taken.
More pictures by Werner Mäder can be found on his portfolio page. And a detailed description of his Schnebelhorn series was recently published on the English-language photography website DearSusan.
